    THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

I adopt a holistic approach in counselling that takes into consideration all

contributing factors to clients’ issues.  I place a high importance on

developing the resiliency of clients to help them realize their full potential.

I work collaboratively with clients to develop counselling plans that suit

their abilities and help them solve their problems.  I also invite clients to

share with me their cultural belief systems to help facilitate mutual

understanding as well as help maximize self-awareness, personal and

professional growth.

I combine a humanistic and strengths-based approach in counselling with

psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, solution-focused and attachment-

based therapy to help facilitate awareness, motivation and a sense of

meaning in peoples’ lives.  In addition to this, I will assist you to develop

effective coping mechanisms and foster an accurate understanding of your

past.  Sessions will focus on resolving these issues in a safe environment.

During our time working together, I will support you in developing your

potential to live in the “here and now” and with the promise to prosper in the

future.
